Default 40 years old and pregnant

Any advice/s on being pregnant if a woman is already 40 years old or beyond? I am 38 and believe me, the thought of getting pregnant after 40 is now crossing my mind a lot. Though it doesn't bother me that much just yet, I just want to prepare myself on any eventuality. I just hope that if it does happen, our future baby and I are both going to be ok! Share your insights, tips, advice and suggestions in here. Pretty, please? TIA

Although there's a lesser chance of getting pregnant for women of this age, they tend to be more emotionally ready to raise kids. Their wisdom, knowledge and outlook in life make them adjust well enough to motherhood.

The good thing about it is moms at this age range tend to be more financially secure and most of them are professionally successful at this time.

Their advantage too is that they have the maturity and incredible patience to change the challenges of raising kids.

We're on the same shoes Cadelaria. But you need not worry. Just be sure that you're fit and healthy or in other words, physically prepared for pregnancy even over the age of 40. I don't fear that hun. But since I'm a TTC, I always see my gynecologist almost every 2 months so that works in helping me prepare for that kind of pregnancy. Hope we could do it!! FX!!

IMHO, here are the advantages.
- Already professionally stable
- Got lots of quids for savings
- Investments
- Insights to face the family life maturely and confidently
- Got a solid relationship with her partner or spouse.

The disadvantages are:
- They may be a bit old when your baby gets to college.
- Pregnancy and childbirth could be risky.
- Your dream number of children could be limited.

You're right. Oh Halia, I never thought you'd get all that maturity with your first pregnancy. Good job! So proud of you girl.

I agree. I bet, whatever age you're in, as long as you're responsible enough to take care of your health, priorities and family, then age would still be considered just a number. #ageaintbutanumber
