Are antidepressants taken while pregnant dangerous to the unborn child?
I've heard that from a friend that anti-depressants are a no-no during pregnancy as it increases the risk of autism in babies. Is it true? If so, then why do moms still take these while pregnant? Are there specific anti-depressants that are confirmed safe by practitioners? This is undeniably alarming.

That's truly scary! Then again it's the doctor who will decide on weighing things with regards to this matter. This is very sensitive. I remember our Pica thread...

Thanks for your inputs. I was just curious as to how moms could deal with this challenge during pregnancy. It's just sad that weighing up is done. The life of the baby shouldn't be compromised. But in this matter, who is to blame anyway? Pity.

No matter how doctors claim that some are safe during pregnancy I still believe it poses a risk to the baby. Well unless the mum has a tendency to hurt herself then it should be highly imposed.
