Three weeks ago I found that I have HPV type 53. My gynecologist told me to take more vitamins and be more careful with my health which means no stress allowed. Yesterday I took pregnancy test because my period was late and turned out that is positive. Can HPV be dangerous for the baby, can I have the baby with HPV type 53, Is this going to be transferred to the baby during pregnancy.

Re: Can HPV be dangerous for the baby?
Women who have HPV are worried that the HPV virus can harm their unborn child, but in most cases it doesn’t affect the developing baby. There is no link between HPV and miscarriage, premature delivery, or other pregnancy complications. There is low risk of transmitting the virus to the baby during pregnancy.
HPV type 53 is considered a low risk virus. There is no reason to panic because the baby is completely safe. Also there is no risk of transmitting HPV to the baby during childbirth; even if the baby gets the HPV virus its body usually clears the virus on its own.
