First, purchase her a test, or at least urge her to get tested for pregnancy. You can get the tests at almost any store, including many dollar stores. There is a good chance that she may not be pregnant. Generally, spotting is not extremely common in pregnancy.
If she is not pregnant, it may be time to consider some form of birth control. There are many different kinds, most of which can be prescribed by a doctor. Most health departments also give out birth control, sometimes for free depending on the state or county.
