I'm 22 weeks. I had a ultrasound exam the other day and my OB gynecologist told me that I have a "Marginal placenta previa". It means that I have a low placenta. Anyone who has the same case as mine? My OB says it may go back to its normal position after a few months before giving birth in May... What else do you know about placenta previa? What are other things should I do in aiding my placenta position to be normal again?
Hi Adalira, I also had a low lying placenta while pregnant with my first child. No meds or special exercises were advised by my OB. I just waited for its position to be normal and I had a successful childbirth then. Don't worry everything will be ok.
Oh really? Well if your OB says so then be rest assured. Usually if it's just a low lying one, you shouldn't be too worried about it. Whatever the case may be just trust God that everything will be ok. Just enjoy your pregnancy while doing what's best to be healthy! Good luck to you!
Thanks for the encouraging words ladies. My OB says I will have a 32-week scan to know if it has been corrected or not. Fingers crossed it will be by then.
If you're having or opting to have a C-Section then having a placenta previa won't be an issue. Nevertheless, I still pray that all would be well with you and your baby. Take care dear.
Oh, this complication is new to me. Never heard that there could be issues arising to having a low lying placenta.
Good luck Adalira, I know you'd get through this.
I appreciate your kind words ladies.
I'm 30 weeks and will be having my 32-week check soon to see if my previa has already been corrected.
If it's not then I'm preparing myself for a C-Section. Hubby should prepare his pocket too!

Ooh, it's getting near! Hope you'll be well by then. Regardless if it's corrected or not, I wish you'll have a successful one. Hugs dear!
