Default Pregnant and have a crush, now what?

Gotcha! I know what you've been thinking.. It's me, right? Hopefully, I'm the ONE pregnant! LOL! Well here it goes...

My hubby's cousin who stays with us is 2 months pregnant. She's 21 years old and separated from her boyfriend for quite a while. Now she's having a crush with her schoolmate. I've been telling her to concentrate on her studies and pregnancy as those two are the most important things she should be working on now. She doesn't listen. She stays with us during school time and only comes home to her folks during the break... What should I advise her? I kept on babbling on what she should be doing but she just goes on with that infatuation and getting distracted by it. Oh, the youngsters nowadays are sometimes just acting odd.

Any advice is very much appreciated!

Hmm... It's just me but i think it's better if you ask her about what she wants to do instead of telling her what she should... That's been the issue with my folks before

She's already 21 years old, I feel like she should be responsible enough with her own life Cadelaria. I know, I couldn't blame you for being extra protective as you might be treating her as if she's your own sister but it's not your problem no more. You've talked to her, advised her, been there for her, that's it. I feel like it's just enough. Just my 2 cents hun.

It's just a crush! Perhaps you're over-reacting?
Do her feelings towards that guy drive her crazy, like her studies and health are being affected? If that's the case then you should discuss this with her parents. Otherwise, just relax and hope nothing serious will happen. Cheers.

Whoa, I don't think it's bloody serious as you've mentioned that it is only a crush.

I guess it's fine to have a crush while pregnant. I myself fell in love while expecting!

That girl is lucky to have you around! Goes to show that you've got that kind of concern which is equal to that of her parents. If you think her admiration for that guy is getting over the border, it's best to raise this issue to her parents this time. As a team, you could all come up with a plan or decision which will benefit her big time. Good luck!

I agree with you! That girl's indeed fortunate to have Cadelaria around.

@ Cadelaria - I think you've done enough and whatever her decision is, you're certainly not accountable for it. Relax and have faith that everything will be ok for her and her baby. And I guess hormones is the culprit too for that uncontrollable emotions on that guy! Probably he's cute!

I know how you feel coz it's as if you're a bit responsible for her. But please relax and accept the fact that she's already in legal age to handle the consequences of whatever choice she's gonna make. Don't worry, everything will be alright!
